The Organization:

Life Recovery is a religious, charitable, educational organization recognized as a non-profit entity by the Internal Revenue Service. We focus on providing multi-faceted addiction recovery services. Our founders, Bill & Dean Jackson, experienced first-hand what it was like to live with and love people who had become enslaved by addictions. After the Jacksons gathered a group of like-minded supporters, Life Recovery received approval from the IRS to operate as a 501(c)(3) in 2018.

The Process:

We wholeheartedly believe addiction is not the root cause of a person’s troubles. Addiction is simply one of many unhealthy solutions people use to anesthetize themselves from their real troubles. Life Recovery keeps Christ at the center of the 12 Steps and applies these principles in all our affairs. Today, Life Recovery has daily meetings, and all are welcome to attend these meetings. The next phase of our ministry will involve educational classes helping people in our community who have had justice involvement. After that, we hope to eventually offer more services as we help as many people in our community as possible.

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10 NASB)

There was plenty of religion in Jerusalem when Jesus came, but He seems to have spent a lot of time with prostitutes and tax collectors. Life Recovery seeks to be more like Christ and make our ministry available to everyone, not just people who go to church on Sunday. While the IRS recognizes us (partly) as a religious organization, we will never turn someone away because they don’t ascribe to the same religious beliefs as us. Our goal is to teach, lead and model sobriety and Christianity as Jesus taught us to do in Matthew 5:16.
